looking forward, after this weekend, where i can enjoy after my duty on friday, we will be burning alot of weekends... cos tat's to prepare ourselves for the most important activity that a battalion will go through in its 2 year cycle.. tat is... atec...

atec... the battalion will undertake certain missions to capture certain objectives... this will take place in singapore, unlike other units who hav a chance to go overseas, like taiwan, india or australia, to fight atec..

being in a guards battalion gav me the chance to experience the flight of chooper... will be taking one again in atec.... tat's like the most interesting part of the whole exercise...

17 april to 20 april... may us score well in this... i wanna hav a jolly good time after tat...

but again.....

my driving test is on the 5th of may.. which means i muz take offs and choing my driving lessons after my atec... hope tat i can pass first time... tink i spent more money than usual for ppl trying to get a liscene...

and my unit will again be on alert standby on may... so sian... i'm the recall clerk... lotsa shit coming through i can see...

wat's getting me excited all over the place is the possibility tat i might be called up by moe for a scholarship interview.... although i'm almost certain tat i dun qualify for an overseas scholarship, which i so much desire (who dun?), i might well make it for the local one if the interview turns out to be good...

anyway, am here to blog cos of nights off... initially wanted to go for a jog, but it rained, so i slacked...

slacked really alot today... hahaa... played soccer in the morning... had a nice workout, although the fats will always be there.. virtually spent the whole afternoon in youtube watching the art of seduction, a very funny korean show, of course by son ye-jin... hahaa... den watched most of all the classic MVs i can find in youtube... the more i watch, the more i feel like watching the classic again... the MVs, got 2 songs very nice...

yea, finally hav the chance to be at home and slack around... hahaa.. duty clerk yesterday, so onli booked out this morning, where dw drove me back and oso on the way, pick up kl... together we went for a game of bball... the 2 alvins, surnamely, gan and lim, joined us not far into the game... quite a good workout i had...

muz enjoy this weekend lor.... though enjoying oso means slacking and doing nothing.. so sian, i'm on duty the next friday too... sigh..

went to play soccer in the morning... wk, kkk and kl went too... had quite a good time, even though i didnt manage to score any goals... i tot i defended well... and the team, as a whole defended and did well...

slack and went to a barber for haircut in the afternoon... took a nap as well.. den went to marine parade wif kl to meet tys there.. ate in the hawker and played pool... chatted quite a lot of stuff...

these are true frens, best of frens, tat i hav and meet up often... we can do anything together, chat abt anything under the sun... but yet, the fact tat we meet up often is because we are all single, no gals to go out wif...

oh why has love evaded us? is tat someone special so hard to find? or is it tat our expectations are too high? how often do i wish tat fate juz do wonders again and bring to me my love tat i so much miss in my life...

end of holiday

so ends the holiday as the course comes to a close.. this 5-day course had been a break from life in camp, where we take up books and start studying again... everything had been a breeze... how i wish i can carry on like this for the rest of my NSF, till jan when i ord... but reality is, i'll be back in the camp, sadly, by next week...

i've been figuring for the past year, why i seem to do through hell lot of shit as a nsf... by juz talking to my coursemates, if i had not enlist yet, i'll still tink tat being a clerk is a vocation tat u can slack around and hav plenty of time cos it's 8-5 and u stay out... at least for them, tat's the case...

so why did i fail my medical for air ops spec? if i passed tat, i would be manning in a control tower of an air base... or, why do i get B for maths, and not an A? if i did so, i wouldnt be posted to my camp as ACC... or, why the hell did the CPC clerk not like my name, NRIC, DOB or even my address, tat'll make him post me, out of so many others, to my camp??

i dun like to grumble and complain... but tat's all i can do...

yep, enjoying the stay-out life i'm having now.... on admin supvr course at school of manpower in khatib camp... had been looking forward to this course for a long long time... back then last year, i was yearning to go on tat course... cos tat's the route of advancement for me being a admin supvr, estab rank of 3SG...

initially, tot tat the course i will be gg through is about admin procedures, like handling documentation, leave, pay, etc etc... but now the module is on ops... today they were teaching about persrep, which is about personnel strength report... we were given the test of completing the persrep in 45 minutes, in tat air-con room... of course, having did exactly the same thing wif more severe time constrains, under the hot sun wif SBO on and tat stupid helmet, i completed it in 10 mins...

however, it wasnt wifout mistake... sigh... carelessness...

the course there's a couple of nsmen... den there's some who wear no.3 uinform, meaning they are stay-out clerks having a 8 to 5 working hours... then out of those who are in active units, most of their units are still in training phase, whereas mine is already in ops phase, where we are on alert, go lancer, fight atec, and etc etc..

conclusion? its not a problem of being a clerk... it's juz tat i'm suay...

juz played bball.. played very badly... and fell very tired... phew... tired...

juz went to caleb's officer commissioning parade at SAFTI MI... supposedly, meeting the guys at bus stop next to swimming pool at 4 to take cab, but overslept, so ended up wif me taking cab from my house over to pick them up...

the fare was a whooping $19.30.. ouch...

ya, anyway, the parade went quite smoothly... saw wei yong, justin and co there... and a couple of other frens... felt really proud of caleb when he went up to receive the SOH from the minister... UP LA!!!!

then went to 'chomp chomp' for dinner... ordered quite a lot of food... adds up to around 10 plus bucks each for the four of us... den slack at cartel for the chelsea vs tottenham match...

briefly read through my blog... realised that i had been complaining and whinning abt army life.. i could well spend the time doing something more meaningful... sigh.. too bad i can't make full use of these 2 years... opps, whinning again...

now my aim is to keep fit again... at least, wif all the 'trainings' in camp, had returned to pre-brunei trip fitness... was so fat after returning from there back then in october..

oops, i'm here again... hahaa.. got nites off, but gotta return later by 2300... sigh.. but better than nothing lah..

today is really an ideal day in camp... fall-in in PT attire for games... played bball, of course... had quite a good time, although the ball used was more bouncy than expected... after that, returned to office, realised that all the accounts are logged out... that onli means that work is stopped.. hahaa!!! no work!!!! went to bunk and do some static exercises, bathed, and went back to office in admin attire and sandals... shiok ah...

com still down, so the whole afternoon was spent doing nothing at all... hahaa... nv felt so good and slack in this camp b4... how i wish everyday the com juz cannot work...

tomolo will be the last day for the week, and next week... cos thursday there's cohesion, will be slacking too, and friday is off... and come next week, i'll be attending a admin supvr course... ahahahaaa... stay out....

wif concorde over, now at least i can smell a bit of ord.... left wif atec and ndp as major activities... endure!!!!

finally, the activation is over... so much things happened yesterday, so little time to tink abt it... watever tat had happened, juz gav me more reasons to hate life there... although it seems like everything had fall back to place, i'm so unsure with wat attitude it's best to hav working there... so much so for working hard, in the end there's nothing for me to feel good abt..
